Technological change is fundamental to the advancement of the human condition. The Georgia Tech community - students, staff, faculty, and alumni - will realize our motto of "Progress and Service" through effectiveness and innovation in teaching and learning, our research advances, and entrepreneurship in all sectors of society. We will be leaders in improving the human condition in Georgia, the United States, and around the globe.
Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech are both the universities with “Tech” in the US in two different states: Virginia and Georgia. So it is interesting to compare these two universities. It is impressive that both of them are intended to serve the state and the whole world. They are both dedicated to improving human conditions around the world. The “inclusive” stood out to me when I read about the mission of Virginia Tech. I believe that the inclusive community that VT created can promote cooperation, creativity, and discovery and improve human conditions all over the world. “Technological change” impressed me a lot when I read the mission of Georgia Tech. They believe that “technological change is fundamental to the advancement of the human condition”. Based on technological change, they will be leaders in improving human conditions around the world. Both of these two universities are dedicated to serving the state, the US, and the world. While Virginia Tech emphasizes “inclusiveness”, and Georgia Tech emphasizes “technological change”.
